The technology systems of the "modern" home are extremely important to the client who will purchase your house. This area can not be forgotten, shortcut, or wired "off the cuff" by someone who merely runs other types of wire. Without using a true Low Voltage design this mentality is a recipe for disaster that in most cases is very hard and expensive to correct after the fact. 

You may have a built-in reluctance to add more subcontractors or design time to your busy project but... In one 1.5 million dollar home we found 7 volume control leads wire-nutted together and run to a right/left speaker plate inside a wood cabinet. If a client had decided to hook up his own system to this wiring and had used non-impedance matching volume controls and an amp without thermal protection, this fire hazard of a wiring job could have burned the house to the ground!
